Happy first week of October! The temperatures have been dropping quickly up here in Washington, and I’m not complaining one bit! I brought out all my cozy sweaters, have been drinking way too many lattes, and am enjoying every second of it. I’ve also been playing around with some new makeup looks for Fall, and have found some really great products that are absolutely beautiful. I love the bronzy, warm tones that come with Fall makeup, and am excited to show y’all my current go-to makeup look!
It all starts with a good base. Since my skin gets drier as the temperatures get colder, I opted for a primer that will bring hydration to my skin. I’ve been using the Becca Backlight Priming Filter. After I moisturize, I apply this and let it soak in for a couple minutes before applying my foundation.
For my foundation, I’m currently using the Fenty Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation in shade 210. I like to apply this with a damp beauty sponge (I use this one by Real Techniques) to press the foundation into my skin for a medium-full coverage.
After I apply my foundation, I go in with concealer to brighten up my forehead, under my eyes, the bridge of my nose, and my chin. This concealer by Makeup Revolution is the best concealer I’ve EVER tried. It’s smooth, non-drying, blends out beautifully, and it’s only $7! I use the shade C3, and apply it with the same damp beauty sponge.
Like I said earlier, my skin is pretty dry, and when paired with a matte foundation, I don’t need a ton of setting powder. I take this Airspun Loose Face Powder (in the translucent shade) with the same damp beauty sponge, and set the places where I applied my concealer.
Next up is my personal favorite step, and that’s bronzer! If I’m going for a matte bronzer, I use the Colourpop Pressed Powder Bronzer in the shade “Afternoon Delight.” If I want a bronzer with a bit of shimmer, I use the Wet n Wild Color Icon Bronzer in the shade “Ticket to Brazil.” Both of these bronzers are super inexpensive, and I love them more than any high-end bronzer I’ve tried! I apply it to the hollows of my cheeks, around my forehead, under my jawline, and around my nose to contour. I use this brush by Real Techniques.
Another favorite step of mine is blush! I know a lot of people aren’t crazy about blush, but I can’t do my makeup without it! A little blush can go a long way, and I think it’s what really brings your face to life. I shared this Anastasia Blush Trio in my September Favorites post, and I love using the “Desert” shade to go with this makeup look. A little bit of this stuff goes a looooong way, so be careful when applying! I purchased this brush kit and use the biggest brush to apply my blush.
Ok, this might actually be my favorite step (it’s so hard to choose)! I’m obsessed with highlighter, and I probably own like 30 different ones. My ride-or-die highlighter is the Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter in the shade “Opal.” I apply this to the tops of my cheekbones, down the bridge of my nose, my cupids bow, my forehead, under my browbone, and my chin. To apply it, I use the Multitasking Powder brush from the same brush kit.
Now comes the fun stuff…eyes!! I’ve been obsessed with Tarte’s eyeshadows for so long now, and this Tartelette Toasted Eyeshadow Palette has the most beautiful shades for Fall! First, I took the shade “s’more” and applied it all over my lid as a base. Then, I mixed “latte” and “warmth” and buffed them into my crease. Then, I took “cozy” and put it in my “outer v.” After that, I took a big fluffy brush and added a bit of “cashmere” and blended it all together. Lastly, I mixed “candle” and “simmer” on my ring finger and pressed it onto the center of my lid. Sounds like a lot of steps, but it really is so easy, and makes for a beautiful Fall eye look! For mascara, I’ve been recently using Lancôme’s Monsieur Big Mascara paired with Loreal’s Voluminous Lash Primer. I apply the primer, let it get tacky for 20 seconds or so, then apply a couple coats of mascara.
For lips, I love this Tarteist Quick Dry Matte Lip Paint in the shade “Exposed.” It’s the perfect nude for so many skin tones!
To finish it all off, I set my makeup with this Makeup Revolution Hyaluronic Fixing Spray!
And that’s it! I know this post was a bit long-winded, but I hope you enjoyed it, and are inspired to try a Fall makeup look of your own!
